I don't know why but my school sent all students this email:

"Dear Staff & Students,

We are excited to announce a change in the way you access and install school-approved software on your devices. Starting 21/11/24, we will transition from using Software Centre to Intune Company Portal.

The Company Portal will offer an improved user experience, providing a more streamlined and modern interface to access and install the applications and tools you need. The Company Portal can be used to install programs and tools whilst at home, you no longer need to be at school to download approved applications and tools. This change aligns with our ongoing efforts to enhance our technology infrastructure and ensure a more efficient and reliable system."

AND I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD SOME APPLICATION ON MY SCHOOL LAPTOP BUT IT DIDN'T WORK. IT REQUESTED ADMIN PERMISSION TO DOWNLOAD IT. ALTHOUGH THIS LETTER SAYS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AT HOME BUT NO.

As a first step, I'd try to contact the school under their official email-address and verify that they weren't hacked and that it wasn't malware... This speed-bump might be a blessing in disguise.

'Tis the season for cybercrimes. ;)

_Afterwards_, talk to your legal guardians. They "probably" have an admin account on your laptop.
